The situation
A news and alerts service sends short updates to subscribers every day, and each one has to be fresh and different from the last. The platform behind it had grown over many years and could not simply be rewritten.
What we built
We add new services around the existing platform rather than changing what subscribers depend on.
- Drafting support that checks each new update against recent ones before an editor sees it
- Analytics showing how often each topic is updated
- Trials of AI models running on the provider's own servers
The result
Editors spend their time reviewing rather than writing from scratch, and new tools ship without putting the live service at risk.
